[CLOSED] Atmosphere Cafe & Bistro, Alexandra Central Singapore

The second outlet of Atmosphere has a slightly different concept as compared to the first outlet at East Coast Parkway which is a bistro and bar. The sister outlet is located in the mall of Alexandra Central which features a menu of burgers, pasta, flaming pizza and their adorable 3D latte arts that have went viral on Instagram.

Recently my company had our D&D here at AquaMarine restaurant, which serves up a buffet spread of international cuisines. Located at the 4th level of the Marina Mandarin Hotel, the newly refurbished AquaMarine enhances spaciousness of the restaurant. We were here for our annual D&D is also because AquaMarina is halal certified for every food station, though not the restaurant itself as they serve alcohol.

BAKER's Ville - Bugis Village

You would have probably seen these egg tarts and cakes from Baker's Ville going viral on Instagram. Baker's Ville is founded in 2013 in Johor Bahru, Malaysia which features the crumbly 26 thousand layers tarts that are handmade from scratch daily. Baker's Ville also serves angel cake and Tokyo egg brulee.

Andong Zzimdak (安东찜닭) Chicken Stew, Raffles City

I remember seeing them in Korea back then, along the streets of Myeongdong and now they have arrived here in Singapore. Andong Jjimdaks, literally means 'steamed chicken of Andong' is a variety of jjim (a Korean steamed or boiled dish), which originated in the city of Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do province.

When I saw the raved on Instagram that a éclair shop has opened locally, I can't contain my excitement. Yes, L'ÉCLAIR by Sarah Michelle is the first éclair specialty store and cafe in Singapore, located at Singapore Shopping Centre. Back then, they were seen at pop up stalls selling these assorted éclairs. So pretty!

[CLOSED] Jiu Mao Jiu Hotpot, 4-Tier Steamboat @ PoMo

Out of the many steamboat restaurants I have been, be it in Singapore or overseas, this is the first time I'm having a 4-tier Pagoda Steamboat. Soup being the most bottom being the first tier, followed by BBQ, warmer and a steamer. How interesting! Jiu Mao Jiu serves a variety of authentic Chinese Szechuan dishes such as the Ma La Xiang Guo (麻辣香锅), Chicken Hotpot and Spicy Diced Chicken.

Spatula started off as a small home-based business back in 2012, where it offers a variety of cupcakes, customized cakes/cupcakes for special events. Spatula Bakery is the brainchild of Ms Anna Majeed, with a mutual appreciation for one thing in particular: delicious desserts, and that food should always look as good as it tastes. Back then, I could still remember the first time I came to know Spatula was through Instagram.

But recently I'm glad to have the privilege to try some of their signature dishes from their special dinner menu after so long. Dessert Project, located at Tiong Bahru vicinity is a newly opened ice cream parlour that serves interesting yet exotic ice cream flavours such as White Truffle, Melon with Parma Ham, White Rabbit Candy and more. The cafe serves waffles, ice cream, Shibuya toast as well as lava cakes. And yes I was here mainly for the Shibuya toast which I have heard good reviews about it and this 3 inch thick buttered toast did not disappoint.

I have been to Serangoon Gardens several times for food but sadly have never been to The Coffee Daily until recently. The Coffee Daily is one of the coffee joint in the explosive cafe scene - serving good coffee, brunch, waffle w ice cream as well as their highly raved rainbow cakes. It is located in Serangoon Gardens estate at Brighton Crescent, where by shophouse was formerly owned by Awfully Chocolate.

[Closed] Sin Lee Foods, Jalan Bukit Ho Swee

Sin Lee Foods has always been one of my favorite place for comfort food, situated in the old estate of Jalan Bukit Ho Swee. The nostalgic looking cafe is converted from an old coffee shop and the name Sin Lee is retained from the previous stall, keeping its name and signboard. Sin Lee Foods serve unique food component unlike your usual Egg Benedict or Big Breakfast brunch fare you find in many cafes these days.

Old Bibik's Famous Peranakan Rendang @ MDIS Building (Halal)

Old Bibik's Peranakan Kitchen started out in 2012 as a food stall at the former Lavender Food Square. Spoke to owner Adrian Loh that in the beginning, there were only chicken, beef and mutton rendang set meals. The recipes were honed from Adrian's mother, which was passed down from his grandmother. The idea behind Old Bibik now is to package traditional Nyonya dishes in a fast food concept at wallet friendly prices.

Tanuki Raw's signature dish Truffle Yakiniku Don has been generating quite a hype on instagram, after looking I know that I need to try this. Tanuki Raw delights in the raw pleasure of food and drink, offering quality yet affordable Japanese lunch bowl. They are also known for its Happy Hour (Oyster Hour) where freshly shucked oysters goes for $2, happy hour is happening daily from 5pm - 8pm.

IPPIN Cafe Bar 極品, 8 Mohamed Sultan Road Singapore

IPPIN is Singapore's first home concept Japanese cafe bar, it's a spot for those with a serious affection for real Japanese food that taste like you're truly home. On the day of my visit, it was raining heavily in the night and all you probably need is a cup of hot tea and a good meal in the comfort of your home. Though I may not be physically at home but the laid back ambience at IPPIN makes me feel like it.
