Ichiran Tonkotsu Ramen (一蘭ラメン) Tokyo, Japan

No doubt Ramen is one of Japan's most well known food just like sushi. We heard so much about the highly raved Ichiran Ramen and we finally understand why after checking them out in Tokyo last year. Ichiran hands down, the best tonkotsu ramen I've eaten till date.

Ichiran Ramen (from the 60s) is a Fukuoka based ramen chain that makes one of the best tonkotsu ramen. We've tried a couple of ramen in Tokyo & Osaka such as Shoyu ramen, all of them were really good but none of them tasted as addictive as Ichiran.

Carpenter And Cook Artisan Bakery Café, Lorong Kilat

Looking for a nice place to chill with freshly baked home-made cakes and pastries? Located in Upper Bukit Timah, along the stretch of eateries at Lorong Kilat, you'll find vintage cafe: Carpenter and Cook.

The vintage store and cafe is owned by 3 talented young ladies. It all started when Phoebe and Shenn started collecting vintage furniture out of interest in London. After so much, they decided to do something bigger and dream became reality. Read more about them here.

Recapped 2013: Travelogue

Was recapping the year 2013 while browsing through my photos, indeed it has been another amazing year. Very thankful that we're able to travel to a few places and discovered so much out in this world. Out of these, the trip to Korea & Japan was really a great one thus I decided to blog it. Here's a summary of our travel adventures,

Kyoto

Kyoto was really an eye opener, I wish I could stay there longer to explore more. A place full of historic value and Japanese culture you can't really find in the city. With countless of temples, shrines and other historical priceless structure still exist today.

Keisuke Gyoza King, Orchid Hotel

The folks at Ramen Keisuke recently opened their 5th outlet in Singapore and it's not going to be a ramen shop but another all time favourite, Gyoza! Located along the same stretch as Tonkotsu King, also at the ground level of Orchid Hotel. A stone throw away from Tanjong Pagar MRT, Exit A.

*UPDATE: The menu has been revamped with new side dishes.

The Line Buffet - Shangri-La Hotel Singapore

I've heard a lot of raves about this place and it has always been one of the buffet restaurants I wanted to check out. Even though the buffet isn't exactly affordable, The Line remains as one of Singapore's favourite destinations for buffet lunch and dinner.

My favorite part has got to be the desserts section! Absolutely diggin' it..
