AquaMarine Dinner Buffet @ Marina Mandarin Singapore

Recently my company had our D&D here at AquaMarine restaurant, which serves up a buffet spread of international cuisines. Located at the 4th level of the Marina Mandarin Hotel, the newly refurbished AquaMarine enhances spaciousness of the restaurant. We were here for our annual D&D is also because AquaMarina is halal certified for every food station, though not the restaurant itself as they serve alcohol.

The buffet spread is huge, with food stations like Chinese, Japanese, Western as well as Indian cuisine!

AquaMarine serves up a wide range of seafood, nicely plated in a circular seafood bar. Seafood lovers can indulge with endless servings of snow crabs, steamed live prawns, clams, fresh oysters lobster, black mussels from France and many more. Various condiments and sauces is available for pairing too.

As well as the Japanese counter for you sushi fix. This area is a newly renovated dining area that feature a variety of Japanese and Chinese delights. Love the freshly cut sashimi, really enjoy this one. As well as fried tempura, chicken karaage and chilled soba here at the Japanese bar.

At the other end of the area, you will find the Chinese delight counter. It feature a live roast station with chicken and duck. Together here, you will also find local dish chili crab with mantou and a laksa noodle station. The new dining area is ideal for a gathering with big groups, with the option of private dining areas and a skyline view.

It's during the christmas week when we are here, which very much explain the decoration at the dessert station. The dessert counter is smack right at the entrance, you can't miss these tempting looking sweets.

Spot the snow house and log cakes behind! There are nonya kuehs, mousses, kueh lapis, cakes as well as pastries like egg tarts. Don't forget to try AquaMarine's signature Durian Pengat!

With all that cakes, there are also soft served ice cream either on cone or bowls.

No doubt AquaMarine serves a wide range of items in their buffet line. Do note that the buffet only comes with water, coffee or tea. For free flow of juices, an additional $13++ top up for each pax. It was slightly more expensive during the Christmas period, the bill comes to about $110 per pax.

Something to take note, though AquaMarine has secured the halal certification for all food station, the restaurant itself isn't. Alcohol is still available here in glasses but not in bottles.
