Decided to dine at LeVel33 on the second last day of 2014 as our Entertainer App is due to expire on that day, offering 1-for-1 main courses. LeVel33 is a modern European restaurant located in Marina Bay Financial Centre, Tower 1. My dining experience was completed with one of the best spectacular views of Singapore's Marina Bay and city skyline.
Made my reservations on their website using Chope, easily done with a few clicks. LeVel33 is know for the world's highest urban craft brewery, where they brew beers at the restaurant located 156 meters above ground level.
LeVel33 is not only the ideal place to chill with your loved ones, it also offers European cuisine with a twist using quality ingredients. Since we're using the Entertainer App, we went for the highest cost which is Beef & Reef ($48) and Beef ($46). I'm all for steaks.
For starters, we were served with a homemade bun each along with beetroot jam, cranberry balsamic oil and butter. It's warm, soft, moist, crispy - wow it's just too good for words.
For appetizers, one of the recommended dish is Spud ($9). Olive oil russet potato puree with beer malt salt. Overall decent but the dressing tasted good to pair with the steak.
For the first main, we had Beef & Reef ($48) - Chargrilled black Angus sirloin, pan roasted jumbo prawn, tomato caraway jam and mustard pickled fennel. I always go for medium rare for my steak preference but meat was slightly tough and dry. Otherwise, tasty! Whereas the prawn, not as jumbo that I expected but decent.
Next we had the Beef ($46) - Chargrilled black Angus tenderloin, sumac yam puree, pickled mushrooms and balsamic tomato jus. I like this better to Beef and Reef, the meat is tender and juicy. Didn't managed to get a shot of within but the doneness seems inconsistent, one side seems a lot 'pinkish' than the other half. The yam puree goes pretty well.
As you can see, the portion is small so probably get more desserts after :)
Didn't order any alcoholic drinks this time but we will be back for their excellent range of beers, that has stay true to European brewing traditions.
After dinner, you can bring your drinks outdoor to chill at the top of the penthouse. The view up here is spectacular and perfect place to unwind with it's soothing music. If you're looking for a place to dine for your special occasion, LeVel33 will complete your experience. Other than beers, the view of Singapore skyline is beyond stunning.
