MEDZS Bistro & Bar Unveils Breakfast Concept - Clifford Centre

If you've been following me, this is probably my 4th post about MEDZS. Nestled in Clifford Centre, is MEDZS - a stone throw away from Raffles Place MRT Station Exit A. MEDZS Bistro & Bar now presents it's brand new breakfast menu, offering hearty and healthy mainstays that cater to busy executives working in CBD district.

Office-goers can enjoy a semi alfresco scenery and have their morning meetings over a power breakfast. Available from 8am to 11am, Monday to Friday, the menu boasts artisan sandwiches, bread pizzas and homemade sandwiches. From now till 31st March 2015, for every takeaway purchase, you get to enjoy 50% off. As well as free coffee for breakfast orders - dine in or takeaway.

What's breakfast without coffee right? Started my morning with Caramel Latte ($5.90) at MEDZS on a Saturday morning. Coffees here were pretty decent, but the flavoured ones were overly sweet.

One of the item from MEDZS Breakfast menu which is available from 8am-11am daily, Scramble Eggs with Chicken Sausage, Mushroom and Bacon ($5.90). It's not a very big portion but it's just right for me as I'm not a big eater especially in the morning. Just a flaw, the eggs were kind of overcooked for mine.

Another MEDZS breakfast item - Egg White Scramble with Smoked Salmon Gravlax ($4.90). Small bits of smoked salmon gravlax topped on the eggs served with greens. You know the eggs needs improvement when you can't differentiate if it's scramble or omelette.

For artisan sandwiches & baguette, MEDZS serves 4 kinds:

Laugen Brotchen with Pork Bierschinken & Red Cheddar Cheese - $11.90 (German)
Beef Pastrami with Rustic Baguette - $12.90 (French)
Olives Ciabatta with Prosciutto & Veal Paprika Lyoner Ham - $12.90 (Italian)
Italian Panini Bread with Tomato Capresse & Buffalo Mozzarella - $12.90

My favorite among the rest is definitely the Beef Pastrami with Baguette. *Note that this is just a sampling size, the actual size is 2-3 times bigger.

One of those in the breakfast menu were the French Bread Pizza, stone oven olive bread in a french pizza style. The portion you see is just half the actual size as this is just for tasting. These are 4 of the flavours we had out of total 6.

Stuffed Cheesy Pull-apart Bread with Parsley & Basil - $9.90
Magherita (Buffolo Mozzarella Cheese, Tomato & Basil) - $12.90
Pesto Herbs & White Mushroom Cream - $12.90
Al Fruiti De Mare (Prawn, Tuna & Crab) - $13.90

I personally prefer the pesto herb with mushroom cream. Light for the taste bud.

Lastly, Viennoiserie Mini Croissants to end off the breakfast menu. Crab meat mayo for me!

Lemonade Crab Meat Mayo - $4.90
Pork Ham & Cheese - $3.90
Turkish-spiced Chicken - $3.90

No matter the time, desserts is always a 'yes' for me. As usual, always go for their signature rainbow cake. And this time we ordered the Salted caramel cheesecake ($6.90) & Red velvet cake ($6.90).

Rainbow cake as usual always topped the rest, followed by Salted caramel cheesecake which tasted quite good. And as for Red velvet, its a bit dry & nothing impressive for me.

Here at MEDZS, be sure to get their signature MEDZS Rainbow Cake - $6.90. Voted as the best rainbow cake on 8 days magazine previously, I've to admit this is the best rainbow cake I had.

On Saturdays, MEDZS will extend the breakfast menu to an all-day dining. Brunch lovers will enjoy them over coffee. For folks working in the CBD district, you can make MEDZS a meeting place for casual or business meet ups throughout the day. And from now till 31st March 2015, there will be a 50% off for every takeaway purchase.
