Hello Kitty Orchid Garden @ Changi Airport T3, Singapore

Adding on the list of characters themed cafe such as Pompompurin and Pokemon, Singapore's very own Hello Kitty cafe is now situated at Changi Airport Terminal 3. The Hello Kitty Orchid Garden is not only Singapore's first themed cafe starring the iconic feline, but also the world's first 24-hour Hello Kitty cafe.

I was really excited for this after I visited 4 different Hello Kitty cafes out of Singapore. As every Hello Kitty cafe in the world features a different theme, Hello Kitty Orchid Garden is designed to emulate the country's 'garden city' vibe, drawing inspiration from the national flower - the orchid, for a uniquely Singaporean aesthetic.

What's a Hello Kitty cafe without having designated photos spots with the Kitty right. Sure enough, there are a couple of life-sized figurines of Hello Kitty when you can pose and snap away. Also at the retail corner, there will be Singapore-exclusive merchandise that will be launched seasonally. A range of custom Hello Kitty-inspired tea blends, plush toys as well as postcards will be available too.

A beautiful presentation of my hello kitty Latte $5.90 which comes in a tray with a kitty cookie. Love the touches.

We had three out of five of the Kitty Coolers ($7.90 each). I recommend the Cumbernade which is a frizzy mocktail of cucumber syrup, lemonade and soda water. No doubt it's refreshing!

Some finger food to kick start our meal, here's Hola Nachos $15.90. Flaky fried tortilla chips jazzed up with shaved Parmesan, jalapeños, olives, onions, tomato salsa and lashings of cheddar cheese sauce.

This dish, *Enchanted Forest $17.90 (amazed at all these interesting dishes name) is one of my favorite dish here. In between the folds of a toasted tortilla, you will find prawns, avocado, cheddar, caramelized onions and wasabi sesame mayonnaise. Interesting combination, this is perfect for sharing.

For the healthier folks, you may wish to go for *Over the Rainbow Salad $15.90. It features generous portion of mesclun salad as well as portobello mushrooms, pineapple, jackfruit, feta cheese, pine nuts and laksa mustard vinaigrette for a local touch. The laksa zest was pretty subtle.

This is the only main that is priced above $20, where else the rest cost below that. The Cowabunga! Wagyu! $24 is a more substantial one-dish meal. This is Hello Kitty's own rendition of Singaporean dish, beef rendang. It contains cuts of wagyu that are slow-cooked until fork-tender and imbued with the rendang sauce, alongside with Japanese rice in Hello Kitty shape. The gravy is rich in flavour, best mixed with rice while the wagyu is succulent and tender.

All-day brunch items at the Kitty house includes this Big Breakfast Surprise $18.50, available round the clock from 10am - 10pm. It comprises of scrambled eggs, smoked duck slices, sautéed shiitake mushrooms and waffles embedded with cheddar. Drizzle them with the honey lime maple syrup! Also, wish the cheddar melted though.

I was excited and looking forward to their plated desserts because it's going to be Hello Kitty decorated. This *Hide & Seek $16.90 features a wobbly pandan panna cotta enhanced with gula melaka, alongside with strawberry marshmallow sauce and vanilla gelato. Enjoyed smooth and silky panna cotta.

Other desserts like *The Cat In Paradise $18.50 gives a more refreshing taste. This is a spin on the Chinese-style mango pudding, entailing mango mousse cake paired with candied orange, almond crumble, marshmallow sauce and hazelnut gelato. The mango mousse cake was light and fluffy with a fruity zest.

Hello Kitty Orchid Garden has their own custom-blend loose leaf teas exclusively for this cafe. You can expect to see flavours like Kitty's Apple Pie Tea and Strawberry Marshmallow Tea priced at $7.80 a pot.

Apart from the plated desserts, more sweet options include a daily selection of sliced cakes and tarts, soft serve frozen yoghurt as well as eight flavours of gelato. Available in single or double scoop, go for the pistachio!

Now that Hello Kitty Orchid Garden is open 24-hour, Singaporeans and tourist can head here for meals or desserts round the clock. The interior of this floral paradise setting is decorated with lush green scenery, it sure makes one feel rejuvenated. With such pretty plates and ambience, everyone will definitely enjoy here.
