[CLOSED] Roosevelt's Diner & Bar, Weekend Brunch Menu

Roosevelt Diner & Bar is a modern diner serving all-day dining as well as wines and cocktails. The folks pride themselves on serving affordable american-style dishes in a industrial chic décor with a touch of grunge eclecticism. It is also conveniently located in a quiet corner of Tanjong Pagar, just beside the Exit H of Outram Park Station. Oh Roosevelt is from the same people who brought you Montana Brew Bar at Pomo.

Roosevelt offers a wide range of unique western food including burgers, salads, all-day breakfast, ribs, sandwiches and more. During this visit, I'm glad to have the privilege to try their newly lunched weekend brunch menu which feature a number of unique dishes.

Here's Roosevelt's weekend brunch menu, serving from 8am-6pm on Saturdays, Sundays as well as Public Holidays. Love how it ends at 6pm, good for people who wakes up late, like me :P

Here at Roosevelt, we definitely start off our meal with coffee. The coffee beans used here are obtain from Liberty coffee, one of my favorite beans around with a rich aroma. And not forgetting the teddy bear latte art in your cup of coffee.

One of the item that is featured in the new brunch menu, Spiced Potato Bacon Hash $16. I consider this as a comfort food, simple yet delectable. A mixture of spiced potato, bacon, poached egg served with house-made tomato relish.

Probably a famous item and most ordered on the menu, Breakfast Waffle Candied BLT $14. Stacked with smoked ham, candied bacon, fried egg, lettuce and house-made tomato relish.

A basic breakfast item but interestingly it is served between two crisp waffle halves. As well as a side of corn-salsa and salad. Simple yet loving the combination especially with a perfect flowy yolk.

This is probably one of their signature among the rest of the brunch items, Crab Cake Benedict $21. Basically crab cake on english muffin, topped with poached egg and garlic mayo as well as greens on the side.

This is my second time having a crab cake Benedict, my first was at Roast Cafe in Bangkok which is what they are well known for. The crab cake at roosevelt has this distinctive 'seafood' taste which not many would fancy it. It was good for me and even perfect with english muffins, I personally didn't like egg Benedict on brioche on any ordinary bread toast.

This item isn't featured on the brunch menu, just something that Roosevelt recommend to have on their main menu. Here's BBQ Baby Back Ribs ($22 half, $28 full). The meat was soft and tender, fall right off the bone after a slight push.

One of the savoury yet sweet dessert waffle featured on the brunch menu, here's Brioche French Toast Waffle $14. Brioche bun soaked in Amaretto-laced mixture to bring a waffle-ish french toast texture.

Topped with vanilla ice cream and drizzle over with mixed berry compote. Love how interesting and unique the french toast waffle is, in terms of texture and taste. It was moist yet chewy, would recommend to have it while it's hot so take your food-fie fast!

Roosevelt would be one of my ideal place for brunch in a casual environment and at approachable prices. The menu features a wide variety of gourmet fares as well as burgers and a number of unique desserts. A great place for caffeine fix too and don't forget to include Roosevelt's into your list of chill out places as beers, wines and spirits are available here to keep you company for the night.
