The week can't get any better than to indulge yourself during tea at InterContinental Singapore's Lobby Lounge. There were 2 options for the afternoon tea, either a Peranakan High Tea or a English High Tea. We went ahead for the Peranakan to experience something different.
A little introductory to the hotel - InterContinental Singapore, the only hotel in Singapore to preserve Peranakan artistry in a shophouse-style setting & located next to Bugis Junction shopping complex.
Relish in the Peranakan afternoon tea set includes familiar treats such as kueh pie tee, ngoh hiang, nonya curry chicken and a selection of authentic Nonya kuehs. And with these bites, go along w a selections of TWG teas and coffee. One word, Happiness.
The design and interiors of the lounge suit the atmosphere for an afternoon of tradition eats. My homz and I could just sit there and chill' all day (Y)
Even though the selections may be simple treats, but no doubt all of them tasted scrumptious. For that moment, I experienced the tradition life of a Peranakan.
