The Union of Crabs & Lobsters Buffet @ Spice Brasserie, PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road

Following the previous successful runs and countless sold-out nights for the crab buffet instalment, Spice Brasserie at PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road now brings back a brand new crustacean feast - Crabs and Lobsters Buffet. With the existing crab affair, Executive Chef Low have added several types of lobsters to this new series.






Alongside with all-time favourite slow-braised pumpkin crab in claypot and Singapore staple chilli and black pepper crabs, there will be more than 7 flavours of lobsters added to the crustacean feast. Other crab dishes include salted egg crabs, crab meat balls, crab with tang hoon soup as well as rock salt crabs.






Lobster Wellington

Apart from the massive crab variety, here are some of the lobster dishes you can expect at the brand new crabs and lobsters buffet instalment that is happening from now till 3rd September 2016. Lobster wellington is basically a whole lobster being wrapped inside a light, flaky puff pastry shell. Probably with other herbs and spices within.


Crustacean Paella

Didn't quite fancy the type of rice that was used in this paella. Don't waste too much of your calories on carbs!




Lobster Congee / Crustacean Congee / Crab Roe Congee

Being Chinese, this is my kind of comfort food. There are three types of claypot congee, Lobster and Crustacean whereby it consist of crab meat too. It is smooth and flavorful, probably one of the highlight for me.


Truffle Lobster w Marinated Jellyfish Salad

You can start off your crustacean buffet with this exotic appetizer. Combining the sweetness of the lobster meat with a hint of truffle flavour. Interesting starter to whet my appetite, indeed.


Japanese Lobster Fried Rice

This is for those who needs their dose of staple food - rice. Decent fried rice accompanied with lobster meat.


Steamed 'Live' Boston Lobster in Chinese Wine

 Headlining the show is this steamed lobster in Chinese wine. The lobster meat is fresh and succulent, the Chinese wine gives a hint of flavour and fragrance to the steamed meat. 


Flame-grilled Lobster Mentaiko

Probably the crowd favorite with all things mentaiko. It is topped with cheese on a lobster meat and covered with mentaiko sauce. Smoky flavour within the meat but the cheese sort of overwhelms the mentaiko.

Baked Lobster with Okiami & Natto Sauce


Lobster Inari

Sushi lovers will find joy in this - lobster meat and rice stuffed in seasoned aburaage tofu pouches, topped with caviar.


Lobster Noodle Soup

Yet another dish that locals may find familiarity in. The soup broth is peppery with a hint of seafood aroma, just like our prawn mee soup. However, I would prefer the soup to be less peppery though.

Tandoori Crayfish

Apart from all that lobsters and crabs, the buffet feast also offers this interesting take on crayfish. I wouldn't mind having multiples of that. This is the real deal for having a crustacean battle series. 


Apart from the crabs dinner buffet, Spice Brasserie also offers the Singapore Nostalgic lunch and dinner buffet, featuring local and Asian cuisines such as a Teochew porridge corner. Both the Nostalgic buffet and the Union of Crabs and Lobsters dinner buffet will be available till 3rd September 2016. To be honest, go straight for the Crustacean buffet even though it's slightly pricier because the seafood feast is the real deal. It's just $118 for 2 adults!

  1. Quite a disappointment of what you presented and the actual dishes. The congee was thick and lumpy and one of the worst I have tasted. There was no truffle lobster, baked lobster, lobster inari and tandoori crayfish. Overall a regrettable experience.

    1. Hi, I'm sorry to hear of your bad experience here. The congee was alright on my day of visit, it could be the inconsistency in the chef's cooking. As for the rest of the dishes, I'm not sure if they have change anything on the buffet menu or if it's on rotation but I'll feedback to the PR. Thanks for the feedback :)
