Steamboat is a tradition we all hold dear to our hearts, from annual reunion dinners to bonding sessions with friends. Hua Ting Steamboat is the sister outlet to award-winning Hua Ting restaurant, and it is here to heat up the local hot pot scene on the mezzanine floor of Claymore Connect. Here at Hua Ting, it offers various specially crafted soup bases as they expertise in Cantonese broths.
The ordering process is similar to that at HDL, where you order them on a iPad. The menu is rather extensive, showcase over 150 dishes and 8 soup bases at rather affordable prices. The premium ingredients they used in their broth is being showcased below.

Hua Ting serves a variety of base flavours for the steamboat, grouped under traditional, nutrition and chef's creation. You can opt for dual flavours in your hot pot, we went ahead with the recommended traditional broth like Shark's bone cartilage soup and Tomato soup with century egg. Soup Base like:

Bak Kut Teh broth, a locally inspired broth that will suit all Singaporean's palate. Each soup base is prepared fresh daily from scratch and simmered for hours.
All other steamboat accompaniment such as wagyu meat, pork belly, fishballs etc can be easily be ordered through the iPad provided. Different ingredient vary in differently in prices.
Dinner set menus are priced at $48 and $58, you are able to mix and match soup bases with choice meats, seafood, handmade meatballs and assorted greens. As for lunch time, the set menu is priced at $26 per person. It features a hotpot casserole which is a contemporary twist from the traditional style of Cantonese steamboat. The hotpot is served cooked, such as spicy chicken, kurobuta pork belly and sea perch. After ending the meal with a sweet month with their homemade desserts of the day (like the one below).
Located in the heart of Orchard district outside CBD, Hua Ting is another good choice of a hotpot situation. Hua Ting dons a contemporary and vibrant look with an elegantly casual ambience, perfect for family gatherings. Overall, I would recommended going for the Shark's bone or Bak Kut Teh broth while the ingredients were generally decent. Hua Ting is an ideal alternative from the highly raved HDL.
