Nando's New Burgers, Pita & Wraps, Singapore

My first experience with Nando's recently and at the same time taking spotlight of the epic menu revamp is Nando's array of new burger, pita and wrap meals. From the meat lovers to the conscious epicurean, Peri Peri fans shall rejoice as Nando's is spicing up its menu with new items this September. The revamped menu will see some of its hot favourites dressed in newly improved recipes.

The revamped menu with the following nine new delights are now available across all Nando's restaurants in Singapore. Like all other items on the menu, the new burger, pita and wrap meals can be customized to suit your desired level of spiciness - Lemon & Herb, Mild, Hot or Extra Hot.

A range of Nando's designer drinks at $4.90 each. Such as the Medeira Red, Crimson Cola, Rosa Fresca, Citrus Bliss, Sparkling Apple and Citra. I personally like the Citrus Bliss, a mix of mojito mint syrup, grapefruit juice and sprite, refreshing and sweet indeed.

We had 6 of Nando's latest burger, pita and wraps among the 9 new items. One of them here is the Nandoca's Choice Burger (On it's own $16.90, +1 regular side $18.90, +2 regular sides $19.90). It comes with premium-cut PERi-PERi chicken breast flame-grilled to perfection and topped with coleslaw nestled within garlic buns. A PERi-PERi lover will love this hearty burger, especially if you specifically like chicken breast.

Regular sides: Chips, Coleslaw, Potato Wedges, Corn-on-the-cob, Garlic bread, Spicy/ Mediterranean Rice.

Fino sides: Potato Mash, Spinach, Grilled veg and Side salad.

One of the item that we were looking forward to have is Nando's Steak Burger (On it's own $16.90, +1 regular side $18.90, +2 regular sides $19.90. Suitable for the meat lover, this beef fillet is topped with rocket, pickled red onions, homemade PERinaise (Nando's special light mayonnaise with PERi-PERi and spicy red pepper stuffed between. I would prefer it to be medium rare so it wouldn't be that dry and tough.

For a healthier alternative, one of my personal pick among all is the Black Mushroom & Halloumi Wrap (On it's own $12.90, +1 regular side $14.90, +2 regular sides $15.90). A healthy yet yummy meal on-the-go, the wholesome wrap is served toasted, spread with chili jam, topped with lettuce and yoghurt sauce.

This is a prime example that vegetarians food can look and taste delicious too. For the vegetarians and those on diet, this is for you, the Veggie Burger (On it's own $10.90, +1 regular side $12.90, +2 regular sides $13.90). Crispy and protein-packed patty is smothered in chili jam and yoghurt sauce, sandwiched in Portuguese roll. Wasn't as fantastic as I expected, while the patty tasted bland.

Another item that I personally favorite and it being a healthier choice! A salad you can eat with your hands, the Chicken Caesar Wrap (On it's own $12.90, +1 regular side $14.90, +2 regular sides $15.90). It is stuffed with spicy PERi-PERi chicken, croutons, Parmesan cheese and sun-dried tomatoes. This wholesome wrap is then smothered in Caesar dressing, my ideal diet meal.

The last we had is the Chicken Pita (On it's own $11.90, +1 regular side $13.90, +2 regular sides $14.90), one of the spicier ones among all. One of the crowd pleaser with it's distinctive taste, served toasted and stuffed with chicken breast strips, veggie and whip. Something different being Pita, also known as leavened flatbread.

Besides the usual PERi-PERi chicken, this is another range of items you can pick from. The revamped menu see some of its hot favorites dressed in newly improved recipes, as well as Nando's very own flame-grilled version of the bread-and-meat-combo. Have a peri-peri good time!
