[CLOSED] Eggs & Berries, Jurong Point

Eggs & Berries presents a colourful dining experience where you get to build your own burgers. The restaurant is also proud to introduce Singapore’s very first line of build-your-own coloured burgers. Coming in wonderful hues of green, yellow, pink and black, the buns are a sight to behold. Each bun is made with all-natural ingredients and is thus brimming with flavours and goodness.

Eggs & Berries is where gourmands can dig into hearty American classics served in generous portions. Only natural and fresh ingredients are used in the restaurant.

Some of the bites before we move on to the burgers. Here's Truffle & Mushroom Fries ($9.90) - fries seasoned with sea salt, home-made mushroom powder, parmensan cheese and truffle oil.

Caesar Salad ($9.90) - basically romaine lettuce with garlic croutons, parmesan cheese, bacon bits and poached egg. It's rather pleasant but not my kind of salad though.

The highlight of the tasting session, coloured burgers with a healthy twist have arrived. The buns will form the roof and base of the burgers. All burgers will be served with a side of potato wedges and mixed greens. The prices are charged based on the patty you choose.

Simple steps to make your own burger at Eggs and Berries:

1. Select one naturally flavoured bun

Spinach Pesto (green): helps nourish the eyes and bones
Turmeric Curry (yellow): helps achieve good skin
Smoked Paprika & Beetroot (pink): helps manage blood pressure
Charcoal Squid Ink (black): aids in detoxification

2. Select your choice of gourmet patty

E&B Beef & Egg (S$13.90): This burger is bound to elicit many coos. Crunchy and caramelised onions rest atop an enticing slab of 14-day dry aged beef. Accompanying it are fresh tomatoes and pickles.

Pork & Sage with Paprika (S$12.90): Spicy sage and smoked paprika infused pork patty, topped with sunny side up, onions, tomatoes & pickles.

Provence Herbs Lamb (S$13.90): Know the meaning of divine pairing with this burger. The aromatic herb-marinated lamb patty is enlivened by unctuous strips of crispy bacon.

Cajun Spiced Chicken (S$12.90): This is the burger that will quell hankerings for spicy food. The thick chicken patty is punctuated by spicy Cajun seasoning. The creamy cheddar cheese adds an extra oomph.

Here's Turmeric Curry bun with Pork & Sage with Paprika patty. Out of the 3 buns we tasted, the turmeric curry bun has the most distinctive taste while the rest were very subtle. I personally like pork patty more among the rest, it's tender and juicy while you sink your teeth into them.

I like how the sunny side up is always nicely done & looking so tempting. Here's Spinach Pesto bun w Cajun spiced chicken patty - couldn't really taste the spinach pesto taste in the bun though and chicken patty was pretty good.

Unfortunately, they run out of squid ink bun as the buns are freshly baked daily. So we had two smoked paprika & beetroot bun w 2 kinds of patty, Lamb & Beef. I'm never a fan of Lamb due to the smell but the herbs lamb patty at E&B was nicely done. Beef wise, wasn't too bad either. Overall, I wasn't disappointed by the burgers, you gonna try it.

After we had some of Eggs & Berries signature mains, one of them you would expect is Aglio Olio King River Prawn ($19.90). Aglio Olio pasta, served with King prawn, wild mushrooms, onions, bacons and melted cheese, topped with poached egg. Overall, it was disappointing as the prawn wasn't fresh, the meat instead of in chunk, it's in lump.

All-time favourite dishes such as Egg Benedict will remain as a menu mainstay, Eggs Benedict Solo ($12.90). Poached egg, English muffins, bacons, honey ham and hash brown. I like how the egg is firm on the outside yet runny within. The hollandaise sauce was lacking imo.

For desserts, here's Mango Tango ($10.90) - Mango, macadamia nuts and chocolate chips with rainbow sprinkles topped with whipped cream. For pancakes, you will be served with three types of sauces: Maple Syrup, Chocolate Sauce and Strawberry or Raspberry sauce.

Cap off the meal with one of Eggs & Berries's desserts. Here we have Over The Rainbow ($15.90), waffles with medley of fresh fruits. This portion is great for sharing, you can pick out of the 3 sauce to go with. The waffles were a tad dry but overall decent.

Some of the them were above average while some fell short. The restaurant will also be celebrating a milestone in October: Eggs & Berries have hatched in the west, welcoming its third outlet at Jurong Point. While other two, located at Westgate and Changi City Point.

  1. Ah, I was looking for a dissertation writing service London, and I landed here somehow. And looking at these pictures, I have realized how hungry I am. Hence, before ordering my dissertation, I am going to order a burger. By the way, I regret that I didn’t visit this restaurant when I was in Singapore.
