Pince & Pints Restaurant & Bar, Duxton Road

The founders of blogshop, Love Bonito has recently established a lobster specialist restaurant at Duxton Road. Most people have the conception that when there's lobsters, it's gonna be an expensive meal. But fret not, having lobsters these days have been made affordable with Pince & Pints.

When there's seafood and good bargain, there are bound to be queues. It's no surprise that there are often 2-3 hours waiting time as no reservations is allowed. Is it worth the long wait?

Dining at Pince & Pints is really a hassle free with only 3 choices on the menu - Live Whole Lobster, The Lobster Roll and Chilli Lobster. All lobster dishes are priced at $48.

The Lobster Roll - Mesclun Salad, Sour Cherry & Balsamic Dressing w Shoestring Fries. A lobster roll is basically a sandwich filled with lobster meat soaked in butter and served on a steamed hot bun. To me personally, this was really good with huge chunk of lobster meat. I was told that there were other places which serves great lobster roll as well, will compare and give my verdict after.

Chilli Lobster - Serve with fried mantos, homemade fresh tomato and chilli sauce. It's like our local chilli crab but just that it's lobsters here. I was quite impressed at the generous serving of whole lobster with big chunks of meat within. Though it looks quite mediocre, but I've emphasize that the chilli sauce is really addictive - I drink it like I'm having soup lol.

Live Whole Lobster - with a choice of Grilled or Steamed. Serving it along with Mesclun Salad, Sour Cherry & Balsamic Dressing, Shoestring Fries and Herbed Butter Sauce. We were recommended to go along with Steamed to taste the natural sweetness of the lobster meat within. Though it looks really pale on the picture but the sweetness taste of the meat really got me 'Wow'.

If you were to ask me to choose the best one out of these 3, I would say the Whole Live Lobster as you get to taste the original sweetness from the lobster shell. So worth the value of $48 - affordable and delish.

The only obstacle to beat is the long waiting time before having an awesome lobster feast. But I must say, it's definitely worth a try especially if you're dining for the first time. Just avoid busy hours as the waiting time can get really long. Overall, I had a great lobster affair! Service were excellent as well.
