It's been a long time since I last visited Taipei and nothing much seems to change, the Taiwanese are still as friendly as ever and the street food is still as appetising. During my recent trip to Taipei in early 2018, my homies and I decided to stay at amba hotel in ximending, possibly one of the best location for eating and shopping. Metro station is just 5mins walk away!
We got the Loft Room which also explain the huge space than the other rooms. It is divided into 2 areas, the huge living room and the bedroom. You need a 'living room' corner for your daily supper from the '夜市' (night markets) lol.
Everything you need is within the room itself. The bedroom slippers are recyclable, you can bring them back home. Appreciate such personal touch from hotels, makes stay alot more heart-warming!
I personally love the beds, the twin beds are actually super single each, bigger than the usual single bed. See here for the different types of room at Amba Ximending. The loft room apart from the the balcony room is the second biggest room at amba, and it cost less than S$180 a night. Where else, the smallest room starts from S$100.
All in all, I really love my stay at amba ximen in Taipei, it is clean, accessible to anywhere and service is exceptional. Do also note they have other amba locations in Zhongshan and Songshan, but nothing beats the location in ximending. Will be back again!
