Shiberty Bakes, Dessert Cafe @ Owen Road

After having an online cake business for some time, blogger and baker, Jessica Loh has finally opened her own cafe at a very young age of 23! Situated now at Owen Road, Shiberty Bakes offer various desserts with a selection of cupcakes, macarons, toast, waffles as well as interesting flavoured milkshakes. Yes, you are in for a sweet treat.

The cosy interior space boast a clean and white decor, adding on to the list of instagrammable cafes in Singapore. As long as you are here in the day, the minimalistic white interior of this cafe is excellent for food photography.

I can't guarantee that these loaded milkshakes will bring all the boys to the yard but no doubt they were sweet and tasty. These sinful beverage comes in 4 flavours, Sea Salt Caramel, Matcha, Hazelnut Chocolate and Strawberry Cheesecake (not in frame) which goes at $9 each. The Matcha flavored milkshake wins with the most votes at my table and strongly recommend that for all matcha lovers.

Assorted macarons at 2 dollars each, with unique flavours such as earl grey, red velvet, chocolate brownie and salted egg. The fluffy chewy macarons is delicate and sweet, sandwiched around a smooth cream or ganache. I personally love the earl grey - crisp yet tender with a nutty flavour.

Shiberty Toast is available in 3 types - Classic, Rocher and Matcha. We had the Rocher $16 which consists of chocolates, fudge sauce, rocher macaron, hazelnuts and vanilla ice cream. Nicely buttered toast with a crisp exterior and soft within. The amount of butter was just right for me while some may prefer it more. Not the best toast I had but it's definitely one of the better ones in Singapore.

Indeed a dessert heaven, Shiberty's takes on gourmet waffles include 3 kinds - Buttermilk, Red Velvet and Charcoal. We had the classic Buttermilk Waffle $14 which is showered with assorted berries, maple honey and 2 scoops of ice cream - sea salt caramel and vanilla. I can't find any reasons not to love this, the texture and fragrant of the waffles were on point. Just so you know the other 2 flavours may be denser in texture as compared to the original.

Love the cosy space and warm hospitality from baker and owner, Jessica Loh. This cafe is indeed a one-stop destination to delight in a range of desserts and quality. They now have different cakes occasionally in store with interesting flavours, looking forward to my next visit.
