NYDC Singapore Christmas Dinner Special 2013

Thinking of where to bring your family for a Christmas dinner during this festive period, without burning your pocket? NYDC could be one of your choices. During this holiday season, nydc will be featuring a couple of special dishes in their Christmas Festive Menu.

// Thanks to food blogger, ladyironchef & nydcsg, we get to sampled 10 nydc festive dishes together with a bunch of foodies. Here are the highlights of the dishes we had at the Christmas party.

Above is one of the festive beverages we had, Gingy's Butter Rum Bath Elephanccino ($8.80)

For Christmas this year, nydc has 2 small plates dishes. We started off with Elves' Salmon Logs and Elves' Mini Meat Munchies, $9.80 each. The crepe is stuffed with Smoked salmon and cream cheese filling, while the meat munchies is served on toast topped w jam on the top. Both worth trying! (the above photo is half the usual portion, so it's 8 serving per dish)

Be sure to try nydc's Signature New York Cheesecake. One of the activities at the Xmas party was to decorate our cheesecake, thus the toppings at the side. Folks w the most creative design stand to win nydc dining vouchers.

The second festive beverage we had - Christmas Carollers' Cheer ($8.50) - a mix of strawberries, bananas, strawberry cheesecake ice cream and milk!

For main courses - We were given to choose from Santa's Wagyu Steak Frites ($28.80), Merry Merry Mixed Grill ($26.80) or Traditional Cornish Hen ($16.80). We tried the Merry Merry Mixed Grill and Wagyu Steak which is our favorite.

Merry Merry Mixed Grill - With beef sirloin, lamb ribs, prawns and sausage served alongside grilled pineapple, salad, fries and a whackin' pepper sauce dip!

Santa's Wagyu Steak Frites - Grilled to perfection with the pink meat within, tender and juicy! You don't need any sauce to go with, it's just good the way it is! I personally love medium rare steak & nydc has satisfied a steak lover like myself.

And of course how can we not have log cakes during Christmas? We had the Holly Choco Log and the Jolly White Choc Cheese Log, the mini logs like the above are at $6.80 each.

Nydc is famous for their desserts and mud pies. And for this year's Christmas, nydc has specially came up with Tutti Frutti Mudpie ($11.80). It's really good, must try!

The friendly folks seated with us at the same table, happy tummies makes us a happy soul!

Such an honour to be able to meet them, Brad & Melody. Very talented people who brings you food and travel guide through out the world. Continue sharing your love for food and show the beautiful world to everyone! Once again, thank you for having us! Thankful :D

What a memorable night, we left with happy tummies! All thanks to the people at nydc for coming up with such awesome festive dishes. Remember to check them out!

  1. Oh how fabulous this NYDC Singapore Christmas Dinner was. Gingy's Butter Rum Bath Elephanccino looks stunning to me. It was such an inspirational share as I am also a big foodie. For my upcoming birthday, I will be throwing a grand party at a Spanish themed event space San Francisco. Their food is always tasty and affordable too.
