Seoul, Korea Day 3 - Everland

Our day 3 on the itinerary was to spend the whole day at Everland Theme Park & we will be travelling out of Seoul. Our hotel is located behind a famous fast food chain called Lotteria making it so easy to locate and so convenient should hunger strikes. Thus, Lotteria for breakfast before setting off to Everland!

The No.1 Korean-brand fast food restaurant in Seoul, Lotteria is in almost every neighbourhood & you can't miss these restaurants. They have menu of interesting burgers such as shrimp burger (SaeWoo Burger), squid burger (OhJingEo Burger) and Bulgogi Burger.

We heard so much about Korean's obsession over fried chickens especially in Seoul, and we quickly found out why during supper that night, cause the fried chickens here are very different from what we have in Singapore and is absolutely tender and juicy. (Y)

Take the subway to Gangnam Station. Exit either at Exit 6 or 7. Walk to a traffic light and cross the road to the bus stop in the middle of the road. Board Bus 5002 to Everland and take a shuttle in. Total bus journey to Yongji took about an hour.

You can get your Everland tickets at the entrance but be warn of the queue especially during peak season. Alternatively, you may get your tickets online from Klook Travel.  Simply download Klook app and use this code 'NA9I9' to get SG$4.5 in credit when you book tickets!

The weather was perfect with scorching sun except the fact that the wind was so strong that day and it felt exceptionally cold! Especially in the night when it drops below 5, our face and hands got numb :(

Tulip Festival in Everland during the period when we were there.

We took the cable car down to another part of Everland to explore what lies at the bottom of us.
So exciting as there were many extreme thriling rides (Y)

That's T-Express rollar coaster, with 78 degree drop.

Seeking warmth in the toilet and taking out our heat pad. The temperature is dropping as the sun sets D:

Camel Ride for 6000W per pax.

We took a number of indoor rides before that but there wasn't much photos as camera isn't allowed.
After, we head over to Safari World where the bus will bring us around the animal's habitat.

The wildlife animals that you'll expect to see & the amount of them in there. It's really mind blowing because you're just a glass panel away from them and it's so up close.

Only Liger we saw! If you're wondering what's a liger; Tiger + Lion = Liger . It's scary when the brown bear suddenly stood up and press it's paws against the glass.

Took the sky ride back up to complete some more rides! But the temperature is decreasing and we were kinda struggling as we didn't wear enough. Didn't expect to be this cold~

Full view of T-Express with 78 degree drop. This is the rollar coaster I've been wanting to ride in Korea but it's closed due to strong wind :(

Last ride was the 360 degree rotational machine. Right after, our face and hands got numb from the coldness and decided to head back to Seoul!

The best thing at Everland was the fireworks at 9pm. We were intending to catch it but we got confused as it will be happening at the pit of everland but we were back at the top. Since the night got colder and we didn't want to missed the last bus back to Seoul, that's a wrap for day 3!

    1. Hi there,

There's a list of browsers and operating systems that work with Blogger. Here it is,
      https://support.google.com/blogger/answer/42247?hl=en

Thanks for informing me! I didn't know too as it looks fine on my side. Blogger works well with Google Chrome, Firefox, IE 9 & 10 though. Or it could be the cookies & JavaScript issue.

      Cheers,
      Jacq

  7. Hi! May I know what were the dates that you went to Korea?
I'm planning on going next April and judging from the clothes that you wore and said it wasn't enough makes it look super cold!

    1. Hello! I went during early April, like the first week. Despite moving to spring, the weather was still very cold. The Korea news reported that it's unusual. It's exceptionally cold in everland (I think cuz it's nearer to the mountains) especially in the night with the strong wind. Luckily, I brought my gloves along :D Have fun in Seoul! :)
