Sydney Day 1 - Qantas, Park 8 Hotel, Dove & Olive, Aqua S

Last summer, our second stop in Australia was Sydney after spending 5 days in Melbourne. We were bound for Sydney on Qantas, our route basically looks like this: SIN - MEL - SYD - SIN. Anyway, first order of business upon arriving - Aqua S.

The flight duration was short from Melbourne to Sydney, it took us about 1 hour and 30 minutes. For short haul flight, Qantas serves up pretty good snack in between - grill chicken wrap!

For Sydney, we didn't stay in a Airbnb apartment like Melbourne. Reason because most of the Airbnb accommodations in Sydney were pretty much more expensive than hotels and some of the better location ones were shabby. But anyway in the end, we choose Park 8 Hotel as it is conveniently located a short distance away from Town Hall Station. Overall, the room is rather small but comfortable enough for the two pax.

Dropped by Dove and Olive for lunch after settling down, this place was recommended to us by a friend for it's affordable drinks and lobster roll. It was a Tuesday special whereby all of their rolls were going at AUD9.90 - Lobster Roll, Pulled Pork and Peri Peri Chicken. As usual, we can't decide which so we ordered all 3 lol.

Aqua S for dessert, it is walk able distance from our hotel. Their soft serve flavour change every 2 weeks and during our visit it was sea salt and matcha latte soft serve. Aqua S's soft serve comes in the prettiest pastel shade.

There were a couple of Japanese restaurants on the second level, just right above Aqua S. And so we ended our day with a pot of comforting sukiyaki and that is a wrap for day one. More feasting to come after, will try my post to finish all Aussie backlogs!
