[CLOSED] Frozen Korea Ice Dessert Cafe - City Vibe, Clementi

FROZEN, yes it's the animated Disney film and also the name of the newly opened dessert stall. The Korean ice dessert cafe is inspired from the Frozen movie and menu items were named after the characters. Located at City Vibe, Frozen brings you Korean shaved ice desserts, as well as yogurt smoothie and toasts.

Children will love this place, bright colored interior and pretty decorated desserts. What you see at the display is what you get, exactly the same in size and toppings.

Menu selections consists coffee, toast, yogurt smoothie and bingsu, not much but enough for a dessert cafe. Elsa Snow Flakes ($13.90-$16.90) can be shared between 2, selections of flavors like Cookies & Cream, Brownie and Blueberry Cheesecake.

As well as Olaf Fruite Castle which can be shared among 2-3 person which was named after Olaf the Snowman in Frozen. The Fruite Castle consist of flavors, such as pineapple, honey melon and orange melon.

Honey Bread ($6.90) - Topped with a slab of whipped cream, cinnamon and honey sauce. The whipped cream tasted surprisingly good unlike the usual cream you get at Starbucks. The toast is crispy on the outside and slightly dense within, but it gets a little dry in the middle. Overall, I would say it's worth the value.

Real Brownie Ice Flakes ($16.90) - Ice flakes topped with chocolate sauce, freshly baked brownie in house and topped with a scoop of vanilla gelato. The ice flakes were made intentionally coarse to have that 'crunch' in the mouth like how the Koreans would like it to be.

But we felt that it was too coarse that it makes every bite tiring. And the chocolate ice flakes tasted bland even with sauce, I guess there's room for improvement.

Other selections like 'Yoyo' which consist of smoothie, yogurt ice cream and fruit topping. Here's Strawberry Yoyo ($6.90) - overall nothing impressive. The yogurt was not bad and is imported from Korea itself.

Another flavour - Mango Yoyo ($6.90). The bottom tasted more like flavored ice blend rather than smoothie. With llao llao yogurt scattered all around in Singapore, this yoyo is getting no where especially with it's price and quality.

The interior were designed according to the theme & culture, with bright neon colors and sit crossed leg on platform like Koreans. But the whole concept seems like Frozen is from Korea? :O

Though it was a tasting session, we were told to try some other items but it turns out to be empty promises. Moreover, the toasts were told to us that it was sold out, but we see staff serving them to other tables. We only got it when we causally asked; service line could be better. Though the concept is interesting, I won't be rushing to revisit too soon.
